Job summary

United Talent Agency is seeking a Security Engineer – Product Security to embed security into the design, development, and operation of our products and platforms. You will collaborate with engineering, product, and security teams to implement security controls across applications and services, safeguarding our brand and assets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 3+ years of experience in security engineering, application security, or product-aligned security roles.
• Familiarity with OWASP Top 10 and securing applications across web, mobile, and APIs.
• Experience securing applications in AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Knowledge of CI/CD security tooling and practices.

Responsibilities

• Support security design and architecture reviews for new and existing products across web, mobile, and cloud-based applications.
• Partner with product and engineering leadership to define product security requirements and roadmaps.
• Conduct threat modeling workshops to identify risks and drive mitigations.
• Conduct security reviews for cloud deployments and platform-specific controls (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Own and mature the product security lifecycle including secure design, coding, testing, and release validation.
• Drive adoption of automated security checks in CI/CD pipelines (SAST, DAST, SCA, secrets scanning).
• Coordinate security testing efforts (tool-based and manual) and remediation with development teams.
• Establish secure coding standards and reusable frameworks across engineering teams.
• Support API security assessments including authentication/authorization for REST/GraphQL.
