The ideal candidate brings deep Section 508/WCAG experience, proficiency with assistive technologies, and a passion for modernizing documentation through AI-assisted drafting, automated testing, and CI/CD workflows.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of progressive technical writing and documentation experience.
• 3+ years in lead or senior role on a federal IT program.
• Current Section 508 certification or equivalent expertise with ability to certify within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain CMSS Documentation Management Plan with standards and lifecycle policies.
• Lead technical writers across CMSS workstreams like FISS, MCS, CWF, DMES.
• Act as primary CMS contact for documentation deliverables and artifacts.
• Ensure 508 conformance across documents and web content with testing protocols.
• Identify automation opportunities and integrate AI-assisted drafting into workflows.
