Job summary

Interval is seeking a Security Operations Engineer for a remote role within the Information Security, Risk and Compliance function of a large energy sector platform program. The role involves designing and building a cloud-native SecOps tooling ecosystem, developing detection capabilities and supporting incident response as the program scales to 24x7 security operations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in security operations, engineering and cloud security tooling.
• Experience with SIEM/SOAR, EDR, log ingestion, and telemetry pipelines.
• Cloud-native tooling and scripting (Python/PowerShell/Go).
• Kubernetes and IaC/CI/CD experience.
• Fluent English, spoken and written.

Responsibilities

• Design and build SecOps tooling covering SIEM, SOAR, vulnerability detection and management, EDR, logging pipelines and user behaviour analytics.
• Develop architectural patterns and solution designs for the security tool ecosystem.
• Evaluate and integrate new tools to strengthen detection, response and automation capabilities.
• Build scalable data ingestion, correlation and alerting workflows for advanced detection and response.
• Coordinate with operational engineers to maintain SecOps workflows and platform reliability.
• Build automation scripts, playbooks and workflows in SOAR tooling to enhance response efficiency.
