Job summary

GuidePoint Security is seeking a remote SecOps Data & Analytics Engineer to build and maintain data pipelines that make security, observability, and operational data reliable for downstream analytics and detection platforms. The role blends hands-on data engineering with client-facing consulting across multiple environments in the North Central U.S., with up to 10% travel for on-site work.

Qualifications

• Two to five years of experience in data engineering or related field.
• Hands-on experience with at least one data pipeline or observability platform.
• Experience onboarding data sources and troubleshooting ingestion issues.
• Experience with structured and unstructured data formats (JSON, XML, CSV).
• Familiarity with cloud storage, streaming, and logging services.
• Ability to produce source inventories, data mappings and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Configure and support data ingestion from applications, infrastructure, cloud services, security tools, and business systems.
• Develop pipelines that collect, transform, and deliver data to destinations with data enrichment and schema mapping.
• Validate data completeness, accuracy, timeliness, and delivery, troubleshooting issues.
• Contribute to reusable pipeline patterns, parsers, and validation routines.
• Participate in data architecture assessments and document data flows and ownership.
• Communicate data-quality risks and progress to technical leads and clients.
