Job summary

GuidePoint Security LLC is seeking a skilled Security Data and Analytics Engineer to build and optimize data pipelines and analytics platforms. You will lead data integration, transformation, and quality controls while collaborating with clients and internal teams.

The role emphasizes data engineering, troubleshooting, and effective communication to manage data volume, costs, and platform capacity across client environments.

Qualifications

• Two to five years of experience in data engineering or related field.
• Hands-on experience with at least one data pipeline or analytics platform.
• Experience onboarding data sources and troubleshooting ingestion and transformation issues.
• Experience with structured and unstructured data formats (JSON, XML, CSV, syslog).
• Basic scripting with Python, PowerShell, or JavaScript.

Responsibilities

• Configure and support data ingestion from diverse sources.
• Develop and maintain data pipelines to route, transform, and deliver data.
• Validate data quality, completeness, and timeliness; troubleshoot issues.
• Document source inventories, data flows, and dependencies.
• Collaborate with SecOps engineers on SIEM, detection, and automation needs.
