Job summary

South Carolina Bridge Connections Academy (SCBCA) seeks a full-time certified instructor to deliver secondary electives remotely. You will work with learning coaches to implement the curriculum, complete grading and progress reports, and communicate with families to tailor Personal Learning Plans.

The role requires SC residency, Gifted and Talented endorsement is preferred, and the ability to travel occasionally for state testing and events.

Qualifications

• Certified to teach Secondary Electives in South Carolina.
• Must reside in South Carolina.
• Gifted and Talented Endorsement highly recommended.
• Strong technology skills (MS Office and Google Suite).
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
• Highly organized and punctual.

Responsibilities

• Manage instructional programs and consult with learning coaches and students.
• Complete grading, create progress reports and conduct parent conferences.
• Communicate with parents, students and teachers to develop Personal Learning Plans and schedules.
• Develop knowledge of the K-12 curriculum and detailed knowledge of assigned grades.
• Support enrichment strategies and assist with daily assignments and projects.
• Keep student records up-to-date and log contacts.
• Collaborate with team members to modify programs for better understanding.
• Participate in State Testing organization and administration.
• Take part in student recruitment sessions and other school events.
• Attend field trips and community activities; perform other duties as assigned.
