Job summary

Baker Tilly is seeking a remote Seasonal Tax Preparer to join a fully remote team during the 2027 tax season. The role runs February 1, 2027 through April 15, 2027, requiring at least 30 hours per week (Mon–Fri, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM local time).

You will prepare individual tax returns (Form 1040 and/or 1041) and related schedules in a paperless environment. Previous tax preparation experience is highly preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Availability to work minimum 30 hours/week (Mon–Fri, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM local time).
• Solid reading comprehension and ability to interpret tax documentation.
• Basic understanding of tax terminology and accounting concepts.

Responsibilities

• Prepare individual income tax returns (Form 1040 and/or 1041, with related schedules) with accuracy and efficiency.
• Process client financial data using tax preparation software.
• Apply firm policies and tax regulations to deliver high-quality returns.
• Collaborate within a fully remote, centralized team environment while meeting productivity goals.
