Job summary

Community Health Options is seeking a personable Member Services Associate for a seasonal, remote position. The role focuses on helping Members understand health insurance, responding to inquiries by phone, mail, and email, and achieving first-call resolution with a customer-focused approach.

Position starts in November with a multiweek education program and a private workspace. Shifts run 8 AM–5 PM, Monday–Friday, with weekends/major holidays off; potential for permanent full-time opportunities

Qualifications

• Strong commitment to high level customer service.
• Previous experience in health insurance or health care environment preferred.
• 1 year in a call center or equivalent customer service environment.
• Must have high school diploma or GED.
• Able to analyze and interpret verbal and written instructions.
• Able to present information clearly and concisely.
• Fast and accurate typing.
• Ability to multi-task across multiple computer systems with strong time management.
• Open to feedback for professional development.
• Work well in a fast-paced, changing environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication and teamwork skills.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office products.

Responsibilities

• Assist Members via phone, mail, and email inquiries and resolve issues.
• Provide navigational support for health insurance processes and online systems.
• Support health care providers, agents, and brokers with customer-focused service.
• Maintain close working relationships with clients and internal/external partners.
• Deliver first call resolution with empathetic and accurate information.
