Job summary

Varsity Spirit, a Varsity Brands company, seeks an Audio Team Member for seasonal tour events across New Jersey. You will set up audio equipment, operate consoles, play entry music, and help run awards ceremonies with clear, energetic voicework.

You must be comfortable on a live mic, adapt to dynamic venues, and assist with lighting cues while maintaining consistent sound levels throughout performances. This role involves travel and long event days.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• 18+ years or older; able to work long event days.
• Experience in event/dance industry preferred but not required.
• Able to lift 30–50 lbs and stand for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Set up audio equipment and some lighting software.
• Play each entry's music as determined by Backstage Team.
• Run a smooth awards ceremony.
• Announce entries on a microphone with enthusiasm.
• Toggle between lighting cues for performances and awards.
• Communicate missing music with on-site directors.
• Ensure music is smooth with clear audio on mic.
