Job summary

DePaul University is seeking a Part-Time Reader to work from home reviewing admission applications. The role is seasonal, concentrated between October and March, with August/September training and occasional spring/summer projects. Hours are variable with no guaranteed weekly hours.

Responsibilities include completing applications and related side projects after training. The position requires a Baccalaureate degree and relevant experience in admissions or college counseling.

Qualifications

• Baccalaureate degree required.
• 2–4 years of college admission/college counseling experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of admission practices and procedures.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
• Knowledge of student database management systems.
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to work with little supervision.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, change-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Review admission applications after training and meet assigned deadlines.
• Complete small side projects related to application review as workload allows.
