Job summary

AAA Life Insurance Company in Livonia, Michigan is seeking an experienced Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) to strengthen QA automation capabilities and CI/CD support within our technology ecosystem. The role requires hands-on testing across UI and API layers using Playwright and TypeScript, collaborating with product owners and engineers.

As a mid-senior contributor, you will design, develop, and maintain automated tests, partner with QA analysts, and help drive shift-left practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, Engineering, or related field.
• 4+ years of test automation or SDET experience.
• Strong TypeScript skills for test automation.
• Experience building UI and API automated tests.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain automated UI and API tests using Playwright and TypeScript.
• Build and maintain smoke, regression, and integration coverage.
• Create and maintain tests that run in GitLab CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaborate with product owners, engineers, and QA analysts on testing strategies.
• Investigate test failures and report defects with evidence.
• Participate in code reviews for test code and improve reliability.
