Job summary

Advarra, a leader in ethical review and clinical research services, seeks an Affiliated Board Member (Scientific) to support IRB reviews across diverse studies. The role emphasizes regulatory compliance and collaboration with sponsors, investigators, and CROs.

Remote in the United States, with a focus on ensuring high-quality reviews and mentorship within the regulatory department. Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred, with 1+ year IRB/Clinical Research or 3+ years healthcare

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; 1+ year IRB or Clinical Research experience preferred or 3+ years healthcare in last 6 years.
• Master’s or graduate degree in scientific background preferred.
• Strong understanding of biological and/or pharmacological sciences beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Maintain regulatory compliance with Advarra’s standards and SOPs; ensure timely core IRB review activities.
• Answer questions and assist with day-to-day challenges using scientific knowledge.
• Assist in triaging and reviewing submissions for expedited or full board review.
• Attend full board meetings and present protocol-related issues.
• Identify areas for guidance and consistency in Board reviews.
• Consult with sponsors, investigators, and CROs on clinical and regulatory affairs.
