Job summary

Connections Academy Missouri is seeking a School Counselor to work from home in Missouri, assisting students and families with course selection, scheduling, and graduation planning while serving as the initial contact for concerns spanning multiple subject areas.

You will develop Four Year Plans, advise on credits, maintain transcripts, coordinate with teachers and administrators, and support crisis prevention and student services teams.

Qualifications

• Missouri Counseling certification is required.
• Strong technology skills with Microsoft Office products and Google Suite.
• Excellent written and oral communication.
• Highly organized and punctual in all tasks.
• Willingness to travel occasionally for marketing and state testing events.
• Ability to work remotely if necessary.

Responsibilities

• Advise students and families on academics, career planning and graduation.
• Keep up-to-date with high school graduation requirements and communicate them to stakeholders.
• Assist with course selection, schedules, and Four Year Plans.
• Manage transcripts and ensure accuracy in the online system.
• Coordinate records from prior schools and forward records when appropriate.
• Implement programs for interpersonal adjustment and connect families to resources.
• Collaborate with SST and school teams for crisis prevention and student support.
• Oversee PLP maintenance and support literature with teachers.
• Participate in testing administration coordination (PSAT/SAT/ACT/AP).
• Support college and career applications and financial aid education.
• Drive professional development for teachers and staff as needed.
• Teach middle school elective courses when required.
• Other duties as assigned.
