Job summary

Cognizant is seeking an experienced SCCM & Intune Migration Engineer to drive enterprise endpoint modernization. You will migrate from SCCM/MECM to Intune, design cloud-based management, and lead large-scale device transformations.

You will architect target-state solutions with Entra ID, Autopilot, Defender, and CA, execute migration waves, and establish governance and KPIs. This remote role offers collaboration across Infrastructure, Security, Azure, and Apps teams, with strong growth potential.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of enterprise endpoint management experience.
• Strong expertise with SCCM/MECM and Intune.
• Hands-on Entra ID, Hybrid Join, CA, Azure services.
• Experience with Windows Autopilot and modern endpoint solutions.
• PowerShell scripting, automation, and troubleshooting skills.
• App packaging, deployment, software distribution, and patch management.
• Knowledge of Defender for Endpoint, security and Zero Trust.
• Experience leading large SCCM-to-Intune migrations.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, documentation and design skills.

Responsibilities

• Assess existing SCCM/MECM environments and migration readiness.
• Develop and execute migration strategy to Intune and cloud management.
• Design target-state architecture using Intune, Entra ID, Autopilot, CA, Defender.
• Configure and manage SCCM-Intune co-management and workload transitions.
• Lead migration of configurations, policies, apps, scripts, updates, and security controls.
• Implement Entra ID Join/Hybrid Join and Autopilot provisioning.
• Conduct compatibility assessments and remediation planning for apps.
• Plan pilots, waves, and phased migrations with minimal disruption.
• Establish governance, risk metrics, and success indicators for migration.
• Develop KPI reporting and executive dashboards; maintain runbooks and SOPs.
• Collaborate across Infrastructure, Security, Azure, Networks, Service Desk, and Apps.
• Lead knowledge transfer, hypercare, and post-migration stabilization.
• Decommission legacy SCCM environments after cloud migration.
