Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a SCCM & Intune Migration Engineer to drive enterprise endpoint modernization, migrating from traditional SCCM/MECM to Intune and cloud-based management. You will assess, design, and implement co-management, aligning with Azure AD/Entra ID and Windows Autopilot across large device populations.

Responsibilities include migration governance, KPI reporting, and post-migration stabilization, partnering with security, Azure, Networking, and Service Desk teams.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in enterprise endpoint management and workplace technology environments.
• Strong expertise with Microsoft SCCM/MECM, Intune, and SCCM‑Intune Co‑management.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Entra ID, Hybrid Join, Conditional Access, and Azure services.
• Experience architecting Windows Autopilot and modern endpoint management solutions.
• Strong PowerShell scripting, automation, and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with application packaging, deployment, software distribution, and patch management.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, endpoint security, compliance, and Zero Trust principles.
• Experience leading large-scale SCCM-to-Intune migration or endpoint modernization initiatives.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, documentation, and solution design skills.

Responsibilities

• Assess existing SCCM/MECM environments, including infrastructure and deployment practices.
• Develop and execute migration strategy from SCCM/MECM to Intune and cloud management.
• Design target-state endpoint management using Intune, Entra ID, Autopilot, CA, Defender.
• Configure and manage SCCM-Intune co-management and transition workloads to Intune.
• Lead migration of configurations, policies, security baselines, apps, and scripts to Intune.
• Implement Entra ID Join/Hybrid Join and Windows Autopilot for provisioning.
• Perform app compatibility assessments and remediation planning.
• Plan pilot deployments and migration waves with minimal business disruption.
• Establish governance, risk management, and success metrics for migration goals.
• Develop KPI dashboards and executive status reports on migration progress.
• Create runbooks, SOPs, migration procedures, and handover materials.
• Collaborate across Infrastructure, Security, Azure, Network, Service Desk, and Apps teams.
• Lead knowledge transfer, hypercare, and post-migration stabilization.
• Develop and execute SCCM rationalization and decommissioning after migration.
