Job summary

NEI Electric Power Engineering, Inc. is seeking a mid-level SCADA & Automation Engineer for the Data Center group. You will design, field-test, and analyze SCADA/relay systems under a Professional Engineer's guidance to deliver quality, on-time, within-budget projects.

The role supports remote or Lakewood, CO in-office work, with travel as needed. A 4-year degree and 2–5 years of relevant experience are required, with FE preferred and expertise in IEC61850, DNP3, MODBUS, and AutoCAD highly

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology from an accredited institution.

job_responsibilities_description

Responsibilities

Set, test, wire, and install relaying and control systems, specifically SEL equipment.
Program, installation, and testing of SCADA and PLC systems, primarily SEL RTACs.
Produce configuration files for IEC61850 (GOOSE), DNP3, or other SCADA protocols.
Prepare project documents including specifications, RFIs, and studies.
Perform detailed design of electrical power systems including diagrams and grounding.
Perform SCADA and relay field testing and commissioning services.
Provide field assistance and troubleshooting for SCADA systems (SEL RTAC, Ignition, PLCs).
