Job summary

MSys Inc. is seeking a SAP BusinessObjects Migration Specialist for a remote, long-term engagement with NC DEQ.

The project involves upgrading from SAP BO 4.2/4.3 to 2025 while maintaining Crystal Reports 2016 at first, migrating to Crystal Reports 2020, and moving to Windows Server 2022. The role requires strong SAP BO platform expertise, Windows Server experience, and a proven history modernizing environments with legacy reports, applications, and integrations.

Qualifications

5+ years of experience with SAP BusinessObjects and deployments across large environments.
Strong Windows Server expertise and familiarity with enterprise infrastructure.
Proven ability to modernize systems containing legacy reports, applications, and integrations.
Experience migrating Crystal Reports 2016 content to newer runtimes (CR 2020).
Proven track record upgrading SAP BO 4.2/4.3 to newer versions and planning phased migrations.

Responsibilities

Perform current-state assessment of existing SAP BO 4.2 and Crystal Reports 2016 environment.
Plan migration path to SAP BO 4.3 and 2025, including Windows Server 2022 readiness.
Migrate repositories, universes, reports, security settings, and integrations.
Validate performance, reporting accuracy, and scheduling after each migration phase.
Develop rollout, testing, and rollback strategies with minimal operational disruption.
