Job summary

Vital Farms is seeking a Sanitation Lead to uphold our standards of safety and quality while guiding a sanitation crew. You’ll organize workflow, set objectives, coach team members, ensure sanitary conditions, and drive continuous improvement.

The position runs 12-hour shifts on a 2-2-3 schedule, with Day Crew at $22.25/hour and Night Crew at $22.25/hour plus a $3.00 shift differential. Minimum 1 year of sanitation/manufacturing experience and proven leadership required; lifting up to 60 lbs and

Qualifications

• 1 year of work experience in a sanitation manufacturing environment.
• Leadership/supervisory experience.
• English (read/write) for safety and food quality.
• Able to lift/move up to 60 lbs.
• Commitment to safety procedures and PPE.
• Flexibility to perform other sanitation tasks.

Responsibilities

• Organize workflow by assigning responsibilities and preparing schedule.
• Set daily/weekly/monthly objectives and communicate to employees.
• Lead sanitation crew assignments and process ownership.
• Ensure sanitary conditions and safety standards across the facility.
• Evaluate crew performance and provide feedback.
• Maintain high standards of food safety and waste reduction.
• Conduct on-the-job training with sanitation practices/equipment.
