Job summary

SI-BONE is seeking a Software Product Manager as an independent contractor (part-time) for a remote role in the United States. The role focuses on upstream software development, UX/UI, and validation for a spinopelvic planning solution.

Travel up to 1–4 times per year for R&D lab support is expected. The ideal candidate will partner with engineering, regulatory, and clinical teams to shape product requirements and user experiences, and to ensure compliance with SaMD standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master’s with 2–4 years in software product management, preferably in medical devices.
• Experience with pre-operative planning, surgical navigation, or 3D image-based software is a plus.
• Familiarity with IEC 62304, ISO 14971, FDA guidance related to software is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead upstream product management for a software planning solution in SI‑BONE’s spinopelvic portfolio.
• Collaborate with engineering, regulatory, and clinical teams to define user needs and roadmaps.
• Develop requirements, user stories, and backlog; translate surgeon input into design inputs.
• Coordinate voice-of-customer activities and usability studies with OR staff.
• Support regulatory and quality on risk analysis and documentation for submissions.
