Grassi & Co., CPA's P.C seeks a SALT – Sales Tax Manager to join our team across White Plains, Jericho, New York, Park Ridge, Chelmsford, Needham, Glastonbury, or Wayne; remote options available for NY, NJ, MA, CT, and the Greater Philadelphia market. Lead multistate sales and use tax engagements and mentor staff.

The role requires CPA and/or JD, 5+ years of experience, and collaboration across service lines to deliver strategic client solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and/or Master’s in Accounting or related field.
• Minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience.
• CPA and/or JD required.
• Experience managing all aspects of sales and use tax audits from start to finish.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and tax software listed above.

Responsibilities

• Advising clients on complex state and local tax matters focused on sales and use tax.
• Leading multistate sales and use tax planning, controversy, and consulting engagements.
• Researching technical sales and use tax issues and developing strategic recommendations and planning solutions.
• Enhancing tax functions through process improvements and technology implementations.
• Collaborating across service lines to deliver integrated tax strategies.
• Representing clients in examinations, audits, and tax controversy matters.
