Job summary

Grassi is seeking a Salt – Sales Tax Manager to join our team across multiple offices including White Plains, Jericho, New York, Park Ridge, Chelmsford, Needham, Glastonbury, and Wayne, with remote options for qualified candidates in NY, NJ, MA, CT and the Greater Philadelphia area.

You will lead complex sales and use tax engagements, mentor staff, and collaborate across service lines to deliver client-focused tax strategies and successful outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field; Master’s preferred.
• CPA and/or JD required; 5+ years of sales and use tax experience.
• Experience auditing sales and use tax matters from start to finish.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and leadership skills.
• Proficiency with tax software and office tools.

Responsibilities

• Advise clients on state and local tax matters focused on sales and use.
• Lead multistate sales and use tax planning, controversy, and consulting engagements.
• Research complex tax issues and draft memoranda and planning solutions.
• Improve tax processes through technology and compliant solutions.
• Collaborate with service lines for integrated tax strategies.
• Represent clients in exams, audits, and tax controversies.
• Support business development and client presentations.
• Coach and develop junior staff for technical excellence.
