Position Summary

The Remote Sales Representative will work closely with the Remote Sales and Global Miltac management team to meet goals and objectives by covering all sales functions in an assigned territory: forecasts, quotations, solicitations, and securing sales orders from potential and existing customers. Responsibilities include interfacing with medical advisory boards, economic buyers, and clinicians—particularly emergency medicine physicians, paramedics, EMTs, nurses, EMS services, and fire departments. The role involves selling and promoting AEM products to grow market share, generate new business, cold call, and demonstrate our Airway, Atomization, Respiratory, and Emergency Medicine products (Z-Medical QuikClot and EZIO).

  • Develop and maintain detailed account profiles including customer preferences, competitive products, market activity, decision makers, customer feedback, and in-service attendees. Plan effectively to maximize field time.
  • Leverage existing relationships and develop new ones to generate sales, designing strategies based on territory/segment characteristics.
  • Manage the entire sales cycle: qualification, needs assessment, RFP, closing, and post-sales support.
  • Communicate professionally with customers, processing purchase orders, order status, and providing order-related documents.
  • Educate customers on products, procedures, and industry trends through clinical education programs. Use business analytics and territory knowledge for strategic planning.
  • Demonstrate proficiency with Teleflex’s continuous education programs and utilize available technology tools.
  • Handle purchase order processing, verifying customer accounts, credit status, and inventory, and estimate delivery dates.
  • Overcome technical and business objections of prospective customers.
  • Enter customer and sales data into SF.com database.
  • Handle inbound and outbound calls/emails related to product ordering.
  • Travel occasionally for trade shows or customer visits.
  • Maintain product knowledge and comply with company policies and ethical standards.
Education / Experience Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) from a four-year college or university, preferably in Science or Business; or equivalent experience.
  • At least three (3) years of remote sales or related experience.
  • Experience with value selling or target account selling preferred.
  • Skills in strategic planning, territory management, and medical industry knowledge.
Specialized Skills / Other Requirements
  • Intermediate computer skills, including CRM systems (SF.com).
  • Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong communication and closing skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with various customer types in pre-hospital and hospital markets.
  • Clinical knowledge with basic A&P and medical device industry experience.
  • Excellent organizational, presentation, and analytical skills.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel 30% with short notice.

The expected salary range at start is $65,000-$110,000 (including commissions), with benefits such as health insurance, 401(k), paid time off, and more. Salary may vary based on individual factors, and compensation packages are detailed upon offer.
