Job summary

Metal Market is seeking a Sales Agent / Technical Sourcing Partner to connect US buyers with Indian precision manufacturers. You will serve as the technical and commercial link, handling acquisition, RFQ qualification, and negotiations for mid-market clients.

This freelance, commission-based role offers fully remote work by default, with flexibility on location, hours, and workload. You’ll leverage an existing US network or build one while coordinating with manufacturing partners across casting,

Qualifications

• Several years of experience as a sales engineer / project manager in metalworking or machine engineering.
• Strong technical grasp of machining, casting, forming and finishing processes.
• Experience with New Product Introduction / prototype-to-series transitions is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Acquire and manage US mid-market clients including owner-operated machine builders.
• Read drawings, assess tolerances, materials and feasibility for Indian manufacturing.
• Translate customer requirements to supplier capabilities across casting, milling, plating and assemblies.
• Support prototype-to-series transitions from first article to serial production.
• Build long-term relationships and negotiate framework agreements.
