Job summary

APT Research, Inc. is seeking a highly qualified Safety & Mission Assurance (S&MA) Subject Matter Expert (SME) to provide on-call SME support for training, short-term projects, mentoring, and proposal input. This role is remote and PTOC eligible.

Requires a Bachelor's degree from ABET-accredited program, 15+ years in S&MA, mastery of MIL STD 882E, JSSSEH, and related standards; US citizenship; strong communication; ability to travel as needed.

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited Bachelor's Degree in a related field
• Minimum 15+ years of S&MA experience
• Knowledge of MIL STD 882E and DoD System Safety
• Experience with safety analysis methods and reliability engineering
• S&MA instructor or mentoring experience
• Ability to work remotely and coordinate across teams
