Qualifications

• Six+ years of professional software engineering experience building enterprise applications.
• Three+ years of hands-on Rust development in production environments.
• Strong proficiency in Rust including ownership, lifetimes, and macros.
• Experience with asynchronous Rust, Tokio, async/await, Futures, and Actix/Axum.
• Understanding of concurrent programming, multithreading, and performance optimization.
• Experience building RESTful APIs and gRPC services in cloud-native apps.
• Proficiency with Linux, cloud platforms, and database basics (SQL/NoSQL).
• Hands-on experience with Git, CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, and distributed messaging.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop high-performance backend services using Rust for large-scale distributed systems.
• Build low-latency APIs, asynchronous processing services, and event-driven microservices.
• Develop networking applications using TCP/UDP/gRPC/WebSockets/QUIC.
• Utilize Rust async ecosystem (Tokio) to build highly concurrent applications.
• Design resilient services for high availability and fault tolerance.
• Optimize CPU, memory, and threading; monitor and tune performance.
• Integrate with Kafka, RabbitMQ, Redis Streams, and other messaging platforms.
• Build secure APIs with OAuth2, JWT, OpenID Connect, and mTLS.
• Develop observability via logging, distributed tracing, and performance monitoring.
• Collaborate on architecture reviews, code reviews, and production support.
• Work with DevOps to automate deployments using CI/CD and IaC.
• Investigate complex production issues in networking, concurrency, and distributed systems.
