Job summary

AuraOne, Inc. seeks a Rust Architect / Backend Developer for AI code evaluation. You will reproduce Rust solutions, run tests, and assess correctness, style, and edge cases. You’ll draft minimal failing tests and provide written rationales to guide improvements. This is a remote contractor role with US eligibility.

You will collaborate with the modeling team to target gaps and ensure high-quality code evaluation workflows. Strong Rust skills and test-focused mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• Strong day-job Rust experience; read, run, and debug unfamiliar Rust code.
• Ability to write concise unit tests capturing a single failure mode.
• Familiarity with a testing framework (pytest, Jest, JUnit, Go test, RSpec, or equivalent).
• Clear written reasoning; should convince a senior engineer.
• Available for at least 10 hours per week (remote contractor).

Responsibilities

• Reproduce Rust code outputs in a sandboxed environment for AI code evaluation tasks.
• Grade Rust solutions for correctness, style, and edge-case handling.
• Write minimal failing tests that demonstrate bugs.
• Compare paired solutions with a rubric-based written rationale.
• Tag failure modes with severity scores and document recurring issues.
• Calibrate reviews against gold standards to maintain consistency.
