USDA Rural Development is seeking a General Field Representative to manage a defined geographic area with end-to-end responsibilities for Utilities Program telecommunications borrowers and grant recipients. You will represent the agency, promote programs, and coordinate policy awareness within your territory.

The role emphasizes promoting loans and grants to current and prospective applicants, collaborating with State Regulatory bodies, and addressing inquiries about other rural development

Responsibilities

• Serve as the General Field Representative for an assigned geographical area, responsible for a full range of line program responsibilities for all Utilities Program telecommunications borrowers and grant recipients in the assigned area.
• Promote utilities loan and grant programs to a broad range of existing and potential applicants in assigned area.
• Work with State Regulatory bodies to keep abreast of their policies and the effect of such policies on Telecommunications Program financed systems.
• Respond to inquiries from borrowers or applicants concerning other sources of rural economic development financing and technical expertise.
