Job summary

Rural Health Redesign Center (RHRC) is seeking a Regional Liaison to manage relationships with rural-relevant stakeholders across the region. The role involves travel to client locations and events to understand community needs and to coordinate resources with RHRC teams.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in rural health leadership, strong communication skills, and the ability to work remotely in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a health care leader at the Director level or above.
• Strong healthcare knowledge with familiarity with rural health issues and unique financial and operational challenges of rural hospitals preferred.
• Advanced knowledge of hospital operations, including the ability to understand financial statements, regulatory requirements, and strategic areas of opportunity.
• General knowledge of CMS Conditions of Participation for hospital licensure (CAH, PPS, REH etc.)
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
• Be self-directed, detail-oriented, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledgeable of innovative healthcare solutions.
• Ability to learn and grasp new concepts quickly.
• Demonstrated ability to foster positive work culture.
• Must be fluent in English, both written and verbal.
• Experience working in a remote environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Must have reliable internet.
• Willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Manage relationships with rural-relevant stakeholders in the region, including healthcare providers and community organizations.
• Travel to client locations and relevant events to understand community needs and opportunities.
• Identify resources to develop or dispatch based on boots-on-the-ground insights.
• Collaborate with Program Directors and project teams to provide technical assistance.
• Oversee regional technical assistance activities and participate in virtual client meetings.
• Establish relationships with State Offices of Rural Health and Flex coordinators in the region.
• Represent RHRC at events by hosting booths, attending sessions, and delivering presentations.
