Job summary

EBSCO Information Services seeks a Royalty Accountant I to manage the full royalty cycle for publishers and reconcile multiple business lines. This remote role is US-based, with hybrid-remote flexibility for team collaboration.

The position requires a bachelor’s degree in accounting or business studies and at least 2 years of accounting experience, plus strong Excel and Access skills. You will work within our accounting team to ensure accurate royalties and timely payments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business studies/accounting.
• 2+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience.
• Intermediate or advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Access databases.

Responsibilities

• Manage the full royalty cycle, including calculation, reporting, and payment for assigned publishers.
• Reconcile business line accounts across multiple lines.
• Review order details and calculate royalties due for lines assigned.
• Manage monthly and quarterly reporting and payment process.
• Reconcile monthly and quarterly reports with publishers as requested.
• Collaborate with internal departments to analyze and resolve data and royalty errors.
• Perform general ledger reconciliation and journal entries.
• Assist with updating publisher payment accounts with Vendor Management.
• Prepare ad hoc reporting and analysis for internal and external stakeholders.
