Job summary

EBSCO Information Services is seeking a detail-oriented Royalty Accountant I to manage the full royalty cycle for a designated group of publishers. This role involves calculating royalties, reporting, and payments, with the flexibility of a hybrid-remote model designed for U.S.-based candidates.

You will join an accounting team of about 15 professionals, contributing to data accuracy, ledger reconciliation, and cross-department collaboration to optimize royalty processes while supporting EBSCO’s

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business studies or accounting is required.
• 2+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience.
• Intermediate or advanced Microsoft Excel skills are required.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Access databases.

Responsibilities

• Review order details and calculate royalties due for assigned business lines.
• Manage monthly and quarterly royalty reporting and payment processes.
• Reconcile monthly/quarterly reports with publishers as needed.
• Collaborate with internal teams to analyze and resolve data/royalty issues.
• Prepare general ledger entries and journal adjustments.
• Assist with updating publisher payment accounts with Vendor Management.
• Produce ad hoc reporting for internal and external stakeholders.
• Maintain positive relationships with publishers.
