Samsara is hiring a Route Planning software engineer in the United States to design and ship end-to-end routing features that scale across diverse customers, from groceries to energy. You will apply judicious AI to unblock deals and improve plan efficiency while partnering with product, design, and leadership.

You will mentor junior engineers, promote technical excellence, and help build the next generation of routing technology in a remote-friendly environment.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
• 6+ years of software engineering experience.
• Ability to execute in ambiguous environments.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for a technical audience.

Responsabilidades

• Design and build features end to end, from frontend to backend, that work across our diverse customer base.
• Leverage AI with strong judgement, knowing when to build a prototype to unblock a stalled customer deal or accelerate a refactor that reduces risk of incidents in our products.
• Partner with the engineering manager and staff engineers to advocate for technical excellence on the team.
• Work with the product manager and designer to build interfaces and APIs that make a planner’s work more efficient.
• Mentor junior engineers on the team and help build a strong technical bench.
