Zohorecruit seeks a dedicated Support Engineer (DSE) / Rocky Linux Consultant for a 6-month advisory engagement. This role is 100% remote, focusing on architecture guidance, performance and security optimization, capacity planning, and best-practice recommendations for Rocky Linux environments.

The candidate will provide strategic, non-operational guidance to clients, with a strong emphasis on documentation and knowledge transfer, while avoiding hands-on implementation or 24/7 support.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with Rocky Linux environments.
• Expertise in Rocky Linux OS internals and administration concepts.
• Understanding of compute, storage, and networking fundamentals.
• Experience with Linux performance and stability analysis.
• Knowledge of patching, security hardening, and OS lifecycle management on Rocky Linux.
• Ability to produce clear technical recommendations and documentation.
• Strong customer-facing advisory skills.
• Senior-level experience in enterprise infrastructure environments.

Responsibilities

• Assess Rocky Linux environments and identify optimization opportunities.
• Provide recommendations for compute, storage, and network configurations on Rocky Linux platforms.
• Analyze client system and storage performance and suggest tuning strategies.
• Advise on capacity planning and resource utilization for Rocky Linux systems.
• Recommend operational best practices and incident prevention strategies.
• Guide automation and workflow optimization in Rocky Linux environments.
• Provide patch management, security hardening, and OS lifecycle guidance for Rocky Linux.
• Review documentation and deliver knowledge transfer sessions.
• Prepare written recommendation reports and KPI tracking.
• Participate in regular customer advisory and review sessions.
• No hands-on configuration or remediation; no production changes.
• No staff augmentation or 24/7 operational support.
