Job summary

RoboStrategy is seeking an Investment Director to lead end-to-end investments in the robotics sector from sourcing through close. You will work closely with the CEO and the investment team on a small, high-impact cohort within a robotics-focused portfolio.

The role requires deep robotics investing experience, a strong network, and a hands-on approach to diligence and portfolio support. Location is San Francisco with remote work options for a national scope.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in venture, growth equity, crossover, or corporate venture fund.
• Deep robotics domain experience with investable deals or portfolio companies.
• Proven track record of sourcing, winning and helping build deals.
• Strong understanding of robotics technologies, business models, and competitive dynamics.
• Engineering background or hands-on operating experience is a plus.
• Extensive network across robotics founders, operators and investors.

Responsibilities

• Source proprietary deal flow by engaging with robotics founders and co-investors.
• Lead technical, commercial and financial diligence for prospective investments.
• Prepare and defend investment memos to the investment committee.
• Negotiate terms and close transactions with counsel and portfolio companies.
• Support portfolio companies with strategic guidance and access to networks.
• Develop deep sector knowledge and represent RoboStrategy at conferences.
