Job summary

The Registered Nurse (RN) at Good Samaritan Society provides individualized nursing care using the full nursing process, working with residents, families, and an interdisciplinary team to plan, implement, and evaluate care.

This role may serve as charge nurse and delegate tasks to licensed and unlicensed staff, ensuring safe, compassionate care and adherence to state practice standards and the organization’s policies.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program; CCNE/ACEN/NLN CNEA credentials preferred; BSN preferred.
• Minimum age of 18 years.
• Current unencumbered RN license in the state where practice is occurring or multistate license under NLC.

Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes/planning, implementation and evaluation) to provide individualized resident care.
• Collaborate with residents, families and inter-disciplinary colleagues to plan, implement and evaluate care.
• Coordinate care, perform resident assessments and education, and support nursing interventions.
• May serve as charge nurse and delegate tasks to licensed and unlicensed personnel ensuring safe, reliable care.
