Job summary

The Registered Nurse (RN) at Good Samaritan provides individualized nursing care to residents using the nursing process, coordinating assessment, planning and evaluation with residents, families and an interdisciplinary team. The RN collaborates with providers to implement and evaluate care, ensuring safety and quality across all phases of care.

The role may serve as charge nurse and delegate tasks to licensed and unlicensed staff, maintaining competencies and complying with state regulations.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program preferred.
• Minimum of 18 years of age.
• Currently holds an unencumbered RN license in state of practice or multistate licensure if in NLC.
• Obtains and maintains required department-specific competencies and certifications.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized nursing care to residents using the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes/planning, implementation and evaluation).
• Collaborate with residents, families and inter-disciplinary teams to plan, implement and evaluate care.
• Coordinate care, resident assessment, education and various other nursing interventions.
• May serve as charge nurse and delegate tasks to licensed and unlicensed personnel.
• Ensure safe, reliable administration of resident care and address care and service concerns.
