Job summary

Kaiser Permanente is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to participate as a vital member of the health care team. The RN delivers nursing services to Health Plan members and patients via electronic mail and telephone, applying the nursing process and leadership skills to address acute and chronic needs.

The role emphasizes education, patient advocacy, and collaboration with the Regional Call Center and Northwest region teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum two consecutive years of RN experience in ED, ICU, Urgent Care, Med/Surg or telephone triage within the last five years.
• Graduate of Accredited School of nursing.
• Registered Nurse License: Oregon or Washington compact.
• Ability to pass an audible typing test by typing 35 words a minute.
• Ability to work within a remote or work-from-home model.
• Customer-focused.

Responsibilities

• Provides nursing services via electronic mail and/or by phone utilizing the nursing process.
• Leads staff education, nursing competencies and professional practice at the department level.
• Demonstrates ethical behavior, confidentiality and HIPAA compliance.
• Uses SBAR for clear reports to improve patient outcomes and transitions of care.
• Collaborates with charge nurse and Manager to set quality standards and improve nursing care.
