Job summary

The Yukon-Kuskokwim Health Corporation in Bethel, Alaska is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide telephone triage services for remote villages. You will perform triage assessments, guide patients, and collaborate with clinicians to ensure optimal outcomes while delivering culturally sensitive care.

The role requires Alaska RN licensure, a current BLS, and prior telephone triage experience; preference for 1 year in a healthcare setting.

Qualifications

Must have completed a program of nursing education from an NLN-approved institution.
Preferred one year of experience in healthcare as an RN conducting telephone triage.
Must be licensed in good standing in Alaska as a Registered Professional Nurse (RN).
Current BLS certification.

Responsibilities

Deliver patient care through the nursing process: assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
Promptly answer calls from patients in area villages and conduct comprehensive telephone triage.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to determine appropriate actions and guidance.
Provide age-specific and culturally sensitive remote triage care.
Maintain accurate documentation and competency for remote triage nursing.
