Job summary

Sedgwick is hiring for a Clinical Consultation Triage Nurse in a remote, full-time role. You will triage calls, assess needs, and provide care guidance to determine the appropriate level of care, while supporting return-to-work goals.

The ideal candidate holds an RN license (compact) with BSN preferred and is proficient with multiple screens and EHR/telehealth tools. This position emphasizes clinical judgment, patient advocacy, and cost-effective outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Active unrestricted RN compact licensure required.
• Proficient in multiple screens and computer applications.

Responsibilities

• Applies all phases of the nursing process during triage calls.
• Identifies caller needs and may refer to physician services.
• Evaluates need for alternative treatment via telephonic assessment.
• Triage data and enter into computer system.
• Identifies life-threatening emergencies and recommends interventions.
• Refers to appropriate level of care and directs patients accordingly.
• Adheres to quality assurance standards.
• Serves as resource to triage team members.
