Job summary

UnitedHealth Group is seeking a Clinical Nurse Liaison to support Optum Infusion IG, BIO. This remote role in the Western US partners with Sales to process infusion referrals, educate patients, and oversee clinical liaisons.

You will drive growth strategies and ensure high-quality patient care while managing a team and developing staff. Required RN licensure, 1+ year leadership experience, and the ability to travel up to 50%.

Qualifications

• Current, unrestricted RN license in the state of practice.
• 2+ years of experience with laptops/tablets, including multitasking.
• 1+ years in a Clinical Liaison role.
• 1+ years of leadership/management experience.
• 1+ years of clinical educator experience.
• Ability to travel within local territory up to 50% with some overnight travel.

Responsibilities

• Conduct patient education on therapy, monitoring, and side effects and guide enrollment and ongoing infusion processes.
• Maintain and grow provider relationships with responsive service for assigned accounts.
• Perform initial clinical assessment from provided information.
• Assist in letters of medical necessity and support overturning denials.
• Collaborate with Sales to convert referrals to start of care.
• Lead clinical liaison team with regular 1:1s and development calls.
• Facilitate hiring, training, and onboarding of Clinical Liaisons with competency checks.
