Job summary

Lifepoint Health is seeking a Clinical Documentation Specialist - PRN (Remote) to support our Health Support Center. The role offers flexible shifts across United States time zones, with an expectation of 20-30 hours weekly.

Qualified candidates hold a Bachelor's in Nursing with an active RN license and at least three years of clinical experience in ER/ICU settings. This remote position requires strong documentation and query skills, within a supportive team framework.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required.
• Active RN license required.
• Three years of clinical work experience required in emergency room and/or ICU.

Responsibilities

• Conducts daily concurrent reviews of medical records to identify missing, vague and/or incomplete diagnoses and procedures.
• Queries physicians on specificity of procedures performed and diagnoses per guidelines and LifePoint Health query policy.
• Participates in department and facility Quality and Performance initiatives.
• Maintains education records to meet corporate CEU requirements and stays compliant with safety and ethics policies.
• Adapts to a remote, flexible-shift environment with ability to work under pressure.
