Sedgwick in the United States is hiring a Telephonic Case Manager to support injured workers from a remote location. This full-time role partners with patients, employers and providers to craft case management strategies that promote medical recovery and timely return to work.

Qualifications

• RN license required in the U.S.; BSN preferred; case management certification highly preferred.
• Strong clinical knowledge and ability to assess complex medical conditions via telemedicine.
• Ability to communicate effectively with injured workers, employers, and providers.
• Demonstrated advocacy for appropriate and cost-effective medical treatment.

Responsibilities

• Performs initial and ongoing clinical assessment via telephone to evaluate injury, treatment needs, psychosocial factors, and support systems.
• Effectively communicates with the claims examiner, client, injured worker, attorney, and supervisor to coordinate care.
• Identifies issues delaying recovery or return to work and applies creative problem solving.
• Negotiates treatment and disability duration with providers using medical guidelines and quality standards.
• Identifies opportunities to expedite care for timely medical recovery and cost containment.
• Provides recommendations for alternate clinical resources to support claim resolution.
• Maintains client privacy, safety, and adheres to ethical and regulatory standards.
