Job summary

UnitedHealthcare is recruiting an experienced registered nurse to join a new program providing education and guidance to members across the continuum of care. The role emphasizes front-line clinical support, education, and customer service in a fast-paced environment.

The position requires an active RN license, 4+ years of acute nursing and 2+ years in case management, with flexibility to work a 11:00 am–8:00 PM CST schedule, including Saturdays. Remote work within the U.S. is supported.

Qualifications

Current and unrestricted RN compact license.
4+ years of acute nursing experience as an RN.
2+ years of case management experience.
Med-surg, critical care and/or ER experience.
Basic computer proficiency (MS Word, Outlook).
Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

Act as resource to members with medical/health questions in a customer service setting.
Own problems through resolution in real time or with timely follow-up.
Provide updates on prior authorizations or pre-determination requests.
Refer and enroll members to internal specialists and programs per their needs.
Support and advocate for members and families in complex medical cases.
Document interactions across databases during calls and follow processes.
