Job summary

Kaiser Permanente in Portland, OR is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the care team. The RN delivers quality nursing services to Health Plan members and patients using the nursing process, supports KP mission, and communicates by email and telephone while coordinating with the Regional Call Center and Northwest region staff.

Qualifications

Minimum two years RN experience in ED, ICU, Urgent Care, Med/Surg or telephone triage within the last five years.
Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
Current RN license for Oregon and/or Washington (compact acceptable).
Ability to pass an audible typing test at 35 wpm.
Demonstrates leadership, communication and critical thinking in clinical practice.

Responsibilities

Provide evidence-based nursing care using the nursing process.
Lead and participate in staff development and education within the department.
Coordinate care with health care team and regional call center staff.
Maintain documentation and comply with HIPAA and confidentiality policies.
Utilize telecommunication and computerized information systems for patient care.
