Job summary

Kaiser Permanente in Oregon is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our health care team. The RN delivers comprehensive nursing care across acute and ambulatory settings, using the nursing process and leadership skills to support health plan members and other patients.

You will work under supervision, participate in population-based care activities, mentor staff, and uphold HIPAA and quality standards while collaborating with the care team to improve outcomes.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years RN experience in acute care or ambulatory care in the last five years.
• Minimum two years experience in Critical Care in the last five years.
• Licensed registered nurse in Oregon with ACLS and BLS.
• Current or future bachelor’s degree in nursing or related field (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing services to Health Plan members and patients in person and by phone.
• Lead and mentor health care team members and collaborate with supervisors.
• Uphold Kaiser Permanente policies, HIPAA and confidentiality standards.
• Perform triage by telephone within applicable state acts and scope.
• Utilize computer-based systems for decision support, documentation and quality improvement.
• Participate in population-based care activities and health education.
