Job summary

Stripe is seeking a Risk Operations Analyst to join the Risk Operations team. You will work to ensure policies, operations, and workflows align with the needs of our financial partners, and be accountable for cross-functional coordination to identify and mitigate regulatory and partner risks.

You will influence and advise teams on scalable processes, SLAs, and routine reporting to strengthen risk controls, with a focus on ensuring compliance and reducing exposure across Stripe’s global ecosystem.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of risk management or compliance experience in a fast-moving environment.
• Experience scaling operational processes and driving quantifiable improvements.
• Ability to use data to quantify problems, tell a story, and influence a solution.
• You have a lot of ownership, are accountable, and drive towards ambitious goals.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate sound judgment and navigate high-risk decisions.
• Evaluate merchants to assess suitability to process on Stripe.
• Adhere to process while seeking improvements and tracking implementation.
• Communicate clearly with Stripe employees, users, and financial partners.
• Identify trends and report to cross-functional teams to enhance detection systems.
• Contribute to projects to enhance due diligence strategy systems and tools.
• Help build and scale processes across the risk operations ecosystem.
• Identify gaps in systems, policies, and strategies and recommend enhancements.
