WECC is seeking a Staff Risk Engineer, Operations and Planning to analyze risk across cybersecurity, physical security, and operations within the bulk power system. You will coordinate CMEP activities, work with WECC teams, and deliver presentations on O&P standards to industry stakeholders.

The role involves travel (minimum 15%) and is remote-eligible for candidates in the lower 48 states. A background in transmission planning or related areas is valued.

Formación

• Understand the power system and have 3+ years of relevant industry experience.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering may be substituted for experience.
• Experience in at least two of these areas: transmission operations, generating unit operation, EMS/SCADA engineering, protection systems, transmission planning, substation or transmission line maintenance/design.
• Proficiency with common PC applications including Microsoft Office; cybersecurity basics.

Responsabilidades

• Analyze and articulate risks across cybersecurity, physical security, and operations to support grid reliability.
• Coordinate CMEP internal controls activities and risk-based monitoring plans.
• Support CMEP activities and WECC reliability initiatives; present at workshops and conferences.
