Job summary

Xactus is seeking a full-time Review Appraiser to join our appraisal team. You will review and analyze appraisal reports for accuracy, advise appraisers, ensure compliance with FHFA ROV Guidelines, and provide feedback to improve performance.

Ideal candidates have 2–5 years of residential appraisal or review experience, an active Residential Appraiser license, strong critical thinking, and excellent written and oral communication.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• Current Residential Appraiser license is required.
• 2–5 years of residential appraisal or appraisal review experience.

Responsibilities

• Review and analyze appraisal reports for accuracy and adherence to guidelines.
• Advise appraisers to clarify or correct information in reports.
• Ensure ROV requests comply with FHFA Guidelines and IAR prior to sending to lenders.
• Provide feedback to appraisers on performance and improvements.
• Stay informed on current real estate market trends.
• Prepare and present reports on appraisal quality and findings.
• Train staff appraisers and review appraisers.
• Work with legal descriptions and MLS data for multiple properties.
• Communicate proactively with Appraisal Desk and internal stakeholders.
