Knowtion Health is hiring a Specialist II, Revenue Recovery to improve revenue through professional billing practices and ethical collection efforts. This remote role focuses on resolving hospital bill denials and recovering outstanding claims on behalf of patients.

Responsibilities include analyzing denials, appealing when needed, and maintaining thorough records while ensuring regulatory compliance across payers and systems.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in hospital, payer, or revenue cycle roles.
• Expertise in medical terminology and coding (ICD, CPT, HCPCS, modifiers, revenue codes).
• Advanced critical thinking; ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and derive conclusions.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough analysis of denied claims to determine reasons for denial and prepare appeals with documentation.
• Communicate with payors to follow up on unpaid/underpaid claims and resolve denials for timely recovery.
• Maintain meticulous records of claim activities in Artiva and client systems.
• Ensure compliance with regulations governing claims processing and revenue recovery activities.
• Ensure timely filing guidelines are met for maximum reimbursement.
• Identify trends and opportunities for process improvement and communicate insights to management.
• Interpret regulations for Commercial Insurance, CMS, MVA, and Workers' Compensation.
