Job summary

Cedars Sinai is seeking a Revenue Cycle Specialist II to provide commercial collections support within Patient Financial Services. The role involves reviewing and resubmitting claims to third-party payors, following up on accounts, and maintaining accurate billing data in core systems.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in hospital billing/collections, strong English communication skills, and familiarity with payor contracts.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
Two years’ hospital or professional billing/collections experience required; four+ years preferred.
Ability to read, write, understand and speak English effectively.
Experience with Medicare, Medi-Cal and other payors a plus.
Basic computer and navigation skills; MS Office, Web/Vs, Emdeon, CS-Link preferred.

Responsibilities

Participates in department meetings and provides feedback to management on process improvements.
Maintains data entry accuracy and uses activity codes properly.
Monitors work queues and resolves accounts in a timely, accurate manner.
Demonstrates professionalism, responsibility and ethical behavior.
Processes incoming correspondence and adheres to payment timeline protocols.
Ensures account information is complete and accurate in billing systems.
Assists other team members with account resolution as needed.
Demonstrates knowledge of Cedars-Sinai core patient accounting systems.
