Job summary

Jefferson Health is seeking a Revenue Cycle Representative I to handle follow-up with payers, patients and departments to resolve outstanding balances. You will review unpaid/denied accounts, gather information, and coordinate with internal teams to resolve discrepancies.

The role requires 1–2 years in healthcare revenue cycle, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and familiarity with Epic. Telecommuting is available, with standard days shifts within the United States.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of healthcare revenue cycle experience required.
• Knowledge of healthcare terminology, insurance plans and contract language preferred.
• Proficiency in Windows 10 and Microsoft Office.
• Experience with Epic preferred.

Responsibilities

• Contact payers regarding unpaid or denied accounts to pursue resolution.
• Coordinate with third party payers, hospital departments, and patients to obtain information for resolution.
• Resolve claim edits with internal departments and update adjustments as needed.
• Analyze and research payment discrepancies to determine actions for resolution.
• Maintain understanding of various third-party carriers and regulatory requirements for full payment.
